Offer an Added-Value Feature for Your Existing Clients

added value featureOne of my 10 suggested goals for your virtual assistant business this year is to offer an added-value feature for your existing clients. What does that mean?

You’ve heard of the baker’s dozen. The baker gives you 13 instead of 12 doughnut. The extra doughnut is the added value. Something extra for the price.

What can you add, something extra, to what you provide your clients – without charging extra? What feature could you add to offer added value?

As an example, I do a lot of social media marketing for clients. One piece of that is to pin their blog post images to their Pinterest board. Each time they post a blog with an image, I pin it to their blog board on Pinterest. An added-value feature I’ve often added is that of creating a new Pinterest board for them based on a category of their blog. Then I pin all the blog posts from that particular blog category to a new Pinterest board just for that category.

It takes me a few extra minutes and provides tremendous value to my clients. I then let them know what I’ve done and send them a link to their new board. They all have expressed appreciation for my creativity and initiative.

Imagine the testimonials you could get from adding an added-value feature for your existing clients!
