How to Ban Someone from your Facebook Page

Every once in a while someone will like your business page just to start spamming their business. And no matter how politely you ask them to stop, they won’t. So you decide to ban them. But how do you do that? Here’s the answer directly from Facebook as well as a screenshot of how to go about doing that.

  1. Click Setting sat the top of your Page
  2. Click Banned Users in the left column
  3. Click Banned and select People Who Like This
  4. Clicknext to the person you want to ban and select Remove
  5. Click to check the box next to Ban Permanently and click Confirm

It’s Raffle Time!

It's Raffle Time!

Who doesn’t love a raffle?

Here at Chief Virtual Officer we’re always looking for new ways to help promote our clients, their books, and their businesses. Since we have several fiction authors who need help promoting their books, one strategy we use online is giveaways. I recently learned of an online raffle tool and decided to give it a try myself before offering it as a service for our clients.

It’s called Rafflecopter. The basic version is free. So here’s my test using it for the first time. I’ll be giving away a copy of my book, Succeed as a Chief Virtual Officer: Setting Up a Successful Virtual Assistant Business. All you have to do is “Enter to Win” below and visit our Facebook page for a chance to win a free copy of this book.

After this raffle I’ll be able to determine if this is a tool we can use for our clients successfully. Have fun!

Reaching More People with Your Facebook Business Page

Facebook postUsing your Facebook business page to share your message is just one piece of the marketing puzzle. Of course you want to reach as many people as possible with your Facebook business page so your potential client pool is increased. A word of caution though – don’t pay to get more people to like your business page.

A business person I’ve worked with is Phil Wrzesinski. He’s a retailer in Michigan and always has great business advice – not just for the retail industry. He recently wrote a great article on growing your Facebook reach I want to share. It’s not often that someone in the retail industry ‘gets it’ so well that I’d share with my virtual assistant community. But Phil gets it!

Enjoy Phil’s post and please leave a comment at his blog!
