Pinterest tab for FacebookHere’s how to add a Pinterest page app to your Facebook business page:

  1. Install the app from this link.
  2. Choose the Facebook page you want to install the app on from the drop down menu that will appear.
  3. Click Add Page Tab.
  4. Type in your Pinterest username.
  5. Select which page mode you want to use, whether to see all your pin board or just a selected board.
  6. Click the share option to show Facebook Like and Send button on pins.
  7. Leave FanGate turned off. This allows visitors to see your Pinterest tab even if they haven’t liked your page.
  8. Save Settings.

Now you will have a Pinterest tab on your Facebook business page. When someone clicks on that tab, they will be taken to your Facebook Pinterest page. This page will show the pins on your board and have the buttons to share, like, and Pin.

Have fun pinning!

Creating Graphics for Pinterest Using PicMonkey

Created using PicMonkeyA simple, free tool for creating graphics for Pinterest is PicMonkey. It is a free online photo editor tool. You can edit a photo, create a collage, play with effects, and more. Their paid version is affordable and has even more fun things to create great graphics.

Creating graphics for use on Pinterest is now even easier using PicMonkey. I created this graphic using a photograph I’d taken and then added some effects on PicMonkey and saved the image. It just took a few minutes. Imagine what you could do if you spent a few minutes each week creating interesting graphics for use on your Pinterest board!

Sharing On Pinterest Using ShotPin

shotpinMy social media marketing clients want all their blog posts pinned to Pinterest. In order to do that, I strongly encourage each of them to include an image in their blog post. Sometimes they forget and sometimes the image they use won’t pin to Pinterest for whatever reason.

To my rescue came a tool I learned about last week – ShotPin. This is a Chrome browser extension that makes it easy to take a screenshot of any web page – and then you can pin the screenshot to Pinterest and link back to that web page. This free tool is easy to install and use. It’s made my job much easier.

You can download the ShotPin extension here.

Growing Your Audience with Pinterest

If you want to reach more people with your message, you need to start using Pinterest. It’s one of the fastest growing social media sites and more and more business are using Pinterest to drive traffic to their website. Just take a look at what Macy’s is doing as an example.

Grow your audience with Pinterest

According to Social Media Today, “conversion rates for Pinterest traffic are 50% higher than conversion rates from other traffic.” I know from personal experience that one of our websites has had a tremendous increase in traffic and we can directly link it as coming from Pinterest.

Here are some quick tips on using Pinterest:

  • Create a board on Pinterest to pin all your blog posts.
  • Make sure that each of your blog posts needs an eye-catching image.
  • In the description be sure to add relevant keywords your prospects would search for to find what you have to say.
